T.O. might be 2nd in TDs, but he's not the 2nd best receiver of all-time. You make an even bigger impact on your team by being a team player and making everyone around you better, which OBVIOUSLY T.O. doesn't. If T.O. had the mindset of a Rice, Carter, Largent, etc., he would probably be the best of all-time when it's all said and done. But Mr. " I love me some me " is all about himself.
haha that's why every team he has ever been on (49ers, Eagles, Boys) won with him, right? You going to tell me Owens don't make his teammates better? The Cowboys scored 9 points in the 6 quarters T.O. didn't play last year with the bum ankle. 3 defenders with their eyes on T.O. makes Crayton, Roy Williams and Witten better.
what happened to San Fran when he left? Still in the gutter Philly? We already saw the last 2 games of last season what the Cowboys offense would be without him.
missed the playoff his last year there too. that slide started before he left Fell apart while he was there have to take your word for it, as I rarely remember any individual NFL games. I'm not saying TO isn't a great player. But every team he has been on was a winner before he got there, and started to crumble before he left. So to say that he is the reason they were winning is a stretch at best.
The Cowboys weren't a playoff team before they got him. They are now. The Eagles weren't a Superbowl team before they got him and got over the hump with him on the team (although he didn't play in those playoffs). Were 4-3 to start his half-season with the team. They ended the season 6-10 overall, so that's 2-7 without him. The 49ers went from 7-9 his last season to 2-14 the next. My whole thing about the guy is people talk about how much of a "risk" he is. Stats like the ones above say otherwise.
went 9-7 without him and missed the playoffs ('05) went 9-7 with him and made the playoffs ('06) are you saying tham him being on the roster caused the rest of the league to take a step back?
