you dont have to guess. romney has said repeatedly that the way government creates jobs is by getting out of the way.

Uh, we did not assimilate Britain and Canada.

You respond to martin's flag waving by waving the flag of the UN. If we are dangerous for Russia, this is good. Equally so for China. And given the nature of the conflict, it is good that we were dangerous to Japan. If standing against evildoers means being dangerous to them, then we are wisely dangerous. How did we invade "12 caribbean/central American countries"?

Except that is precisely what we have not done, and that's what makes the US exceptional. In the entire history of the world no nation has held such unipolar power, with a corresponding relative restraint to conquer and oppress, as the US.

The US is definitely the world's policeman. That's what it is to be a hegemon. Whether we should be or not is another question. Would Europe have been able to remain peaceful but for America's hegemony, which guaranteed relative stability?

    READ THE ARTICLE!!!!!!!!!!!

It says no such thing. And I searched for your article and cannot find it nor can I find anywhere where mark cuban has endorsed or even said he is voting for Mitt Romney. This article came out one week ago. Stop talking out of your ass.

Culturally we have. Britain's survival has depended on the US for a century. Like Canada they can accomplish nothing against us and nothing without us. They have hitched their wagons to our team and as we go, they go also. Nobody that dependent is truly independent.

Bullshit. I have not mentioned the UN. You just made that up.

That's exactly what I said, pilgrim, what is your point?

    Lets see . . .

We have staged eight military "interventions" in Nicaragua, five in Panama (and occupying the Canal Zone for almost a century), three times in the Dominican Republic, five times in Honduras, four times in Cuba, once in Haiti, twice in Mexico, twice in Guatemala, and probably a few more that I missed. Those are just military occupations. CIA-engineered coups in about a dozen other Latin countries also make us dangerous.

All true, I never said otherwise. But martin's naive comment that we are not dangerous is ridiculous. You are missing the point here.

Again, do you think we can hold that kind of power without being feared and considered to be dangerous by enemies and allies alike?

Stop shouting Mobius. I have read the article. For the sake of getting to the part of this conversation that matters, I will concede that Cuban's blog is not an endorsement of Romney. That said, it is only in semantics that he does not endorse Romney.

BUT! The heart of this matter is what you wrote in your original post on this issue: Cuban sums up what he thinks the Romney tax plan is and you stated that you believed it was spot on. My problem is with the logic used to reach the conclusion that you and Mark Cuban found: first, he is guessing what he thinks Romney's tax plan will be because Romney has failed to do so. Second, Cuban states that the thing that will make Romney's plan work is Mitt Romney himself but offers no other rational argument for why we should accept Mitt Romney's plan.

Are you saying that you agree that the key component to Romney's plan is how awesome Mitt Romney is? Because if so, you are essentially saying that you are willing to turn over the reigns of the free world and the USA to a guy because you have a hunch. There is no sane way of explaining this because it is insane. You might not like the details of it but the President has indeed detailed his plans on his web site or whitehouse.gov, your choice. It takes absolutely no courage to run on, "just trust me."

you always go this route. cultural imperialism is a different topic and is really unimportant. by your stupid logic, america is a colony of hollywood because such a large percentage of our culture comes from there.

So says you, who apparently fears to argue this point. People disagree with you, junior. Try to live with that.

That is not my logic, you made it up. You lie as easily as you breathe.
