It's not like he decided to cut back on the size of the federal government and waste and eliminated 650,000 jobs. Those jobs were cut because the economy was so bad, local and state governments had to eliminate jobs. I don't think the 650k number even included federal jobs, but I could be wrong on that.

Absolutely, as are most independents. Moderate republicans are nowhere close to center. Try to pay better attention. I said he reduced government employees by 650,000, a response that essentially shredded your comment that Obama "doesn't even bother to pretend to reduce government". Strike 2.
