I sure hope they can play small-ball and survive with a

    Scola
    Landry
    Battier
    McGrady
    Alston

    lineup, but I doubt it.

    Sucks so bad.

I will say that the team has played well and has a good record without Yao in the past, but I just don't see playoff success without the big fella.

It's time for Carl Landry and Scola to become stars.

    we'll need it.

I just keep hoping for a Miles/Herbstreit false report story, but the Chronicle is money. They don't miss on stuff like this.

When could this injury have happened? Horrible luck for the hottest team in the NBA.
I keep trying to become a fan of the rockets. Last year they ruined that w/ a game 7 choke against the Jazz.
This year, they stumble out of the blocks, recover, then lady luck bends them over and gives it to them hard.
Always next year, unless TMac gets flu-like symptoms and doesn't want to play. My favorite quote of the year was on local sports radio in Houston...
"I wonder when TMac is going to get man-like symptoms and show up!"

so a team losing makes you not a fan...

(the team is better off without you).
    ^^^
    just kidding

But they say it happened in the last game at the beginning. He didn't play well all night, so I guess it kinda makes sense.

I think they will be fine, they should pick up a big man of the waivers as a few are open and could help the Rockets

I don't know if that is an option, though.

I mean, I'd love Magloire and some of the others (PJ Brown), but I think Adelman might embrace this and want to play small ball now.

The only reason Houston didn't run his motion offense this season is because Yao wasn't quick enough to run it.

I think he will use Scola and Landry and run his traditional motion sets.

    We'll see.

If we HAD to sign a big man, I'd want Brown. HE can be good for a stretch of 20-25 games down the stretch.

yea you are right Brown has a decent 15ft jumper that people would have to respect.

I didn't really think we would win the title...

What bugs me most is when we lose in the 1st round, T-Mac will get all the blame... AGAIN... when it won't be his fault... AGAIN...

Who knows... they might thrive playing small ball.

They have played real, real well without him in the past.
