In one of the ugliest games in recent memory, the Jazz outworked the Rockets en route to a win. This series is brutal. The Jazz weren't very good, and the Rockets were inexplicably in the game through over 3.5 quarters. I've watched a lot of basketball through the years, and cannot recall this ever happening. FOUR Rockets...ONLY four...score. Yao: 26 McGrady: 24 Battier: 11 Alston: 6 Other FIVE guys that played: 0
Clair must be pissed as well.. The TNT show mentioned all the bad records set tonight.. (no surprise- you hired VanGundy) Good thing it was televised on nbatv.. it's not like anyone watched it..
Speaking of which, it was on FoxSports Southwest here, but it looks like INHD was broadcasting outside of Houston. So we got the typical non-HD broadcast, because FSN broadcasts almost nothing in HD. I guess the silver lining is not having to see that terrible game more clearly, and not having to see even more of Carlos Boozer's ugliness. Hot damn, that guy's an eyesore.
NLMD, this is turning into quite a series. Last nights game was a real battle between 2 teams that seemed to peak at the same time. Very fundamental basketball is great to watch. Well except for Fisher running a Rocket over in the last few seconds. I am feelin a game 7 on the way.
That's certainly the way it looks. If McGrady can stay aggressive, and at least two non-starters decide to suit up, the Rockets can steal one. Utah's got a great homecourt advantage though. I'm actually enjoying the GS/Dallas series much more. The only thing I like about the Mavs, from their city to their players to their fans, is Mark Cuban. And that's not NEARLY enough to affect how much fun this series has been.
Another great game. Kirilenko is looking good on the defensive end and the shots are falling. I think the Jazz are going to steal one in Houston and take the series. The Jazz have played better overall and have come very close to winning at their place everytime this series. If Boozer keeps having his way and either Harpring or Kirilenko catch fire the series is theirs. I am not too impressed with Yao, he is a little soft. Sure he can hit that little fade away in the lane but I find myself hoping he takes it because he does a lot better when he pump fakes and takes it to the basket. He is getting pushed around down there and he finds himself way out of position way to often for rebounds. Its going to come down to another defensive battle and the Jazz have the upperhand in that department, IMO. BTW, Kirilenko's hair is god awful.
