It's too bad that ESPN has such a monopoly on college football. Wish there were some alternatives on TV. Tired of listenting to these jokers...

They should have had that dumbazz lay out the field at Wrigley...True Big-10 football, playing one way.

Reminds me of how we played when I was 5 or 6. Typical Big-10. What a freakin joke and a lock in for Monday Night's, "C'mon Man!"

LSU did hurt themselves by playing pathetic (defensively and ST wise) against a medicore Ole Miss team at home! They should have done better and yes 37 yrs of watching this rivalry I do understand how difficult the game is!

I can see where ESPN would be biased with Mich St though LSU has survived a couple games this year so the word is fitting!! Mich St survived as well because they were home too against a mediocre Purdue team, but it is what it is! As long as I've been alive most media outlets have been Big 10 bias, though they make for a better news story with Ohio State, Wisconsin, and Mich St neck and neck for the Big 10 title!

Wisc and Stanford,on the other hand, won big on the road in places they rarely win at. I don't understand the hate towards them for taking care of business on the road!! LSU needs to do the same on Sat in Fayetteville!!

I'm happy as hell to have beaten Ole Miss but IMO, the Tigers were poorly prepared (defensively and ST) for this game and talking to some of my famiy who attended the game, they said the same thing.....the offense did great!! It's the world of the BCS and if you aren't the flavor of the week or year then you better draw attention to your team by winning BIG, so far LSU hasn't done that to mediocre teams!!

I think that Masoli is a great QB and he is just now starting to gel with the Rebs. They got bombed last week because he was concussed a week before. Unfortunately the talking heads at ESPN don't see that. The tastemakers want to see the same things that I want to see: A team so dominant that they overwhelm every team in their path. In this day and time that team does not exist. The days of MICH or OSU or OK or TX dominating their pathetic conference and playing a 2 game schedule to get to a NC game are no more.

Smith is a C team analyst. I don't pay attention to anything he says.

I noticed that, too, and was fuming while working out this morning. Aholes. Another adjective used in the bottom caption descibing our win was "LSU escapes with win against Ole Miss", yet Ohio State rallies? Even the guy typing out the captions has a negative view of our team - absolutely frustrating. And still no reference to our schedule by any of the ESPN idiots, not just the GameDay crew, but also the College Football Final guys either. Its just, LSU gets by, or squeaks by, or escapes. You don't get to 10-1 in the SECw including wins @FLA and against ALA, with out of confernce games against the likes of WVU and UNC, and are just lucky or getting by.
I just don't get the national distaste and negative impression of LSU, other than that we don't win pretty.

That is a bit of an overstatement and certainly just an assumption, unless ya'll attend practices and meetings.

The Tigers were just flat a bit. Daytime game in TS, post-Alabama win, looking ahead to ARK, key injuries to speedy players like BTaylor (#37 looked slow comparatively and could not run down several WRs/RBs once they were past the middle of the D) all were possible factors. It's hard to have your A game for 12 of them. Just a little flat, and once again stifled a bit by a mobile QB. Poorly prepared? I don't think so, personally.

Envy (also called invidiousness) is best defined as an emotion that "occurs when a person lacks another's (perceived) superior quality, achievement, or possession and either desires it or wishes that the other lacked it."[1]

Perhaps if Tennessee hadn't run roughshod on Ole Miss the week before it might have been more flattering. Polls say it best. Wisconsin is the up and comer and they are kicking the snot out of teams, down trodden or not.

    Well, Wisconsin"escaped" against Ariz St.

I would say LSU is an "up and comer," too, given wins against FLA, ALA, and now Ole Miss, with an offense that is getting better as the season progresses. Maybe we are not blowing teams out, but our games haven't really been "escapes" either. We WON all of those games against solid opponents, they were not lucky wins. Now, Tennessee, you got us there. That was a pathetic ending, and we were truly lucky. Having said that, every championship team gets some luck along the way (COL 5 plays against Missouri, Nebraska/Miami, etc, etc)
