thank u for responding to an almost month old post. lol. but yeah Stinson got playing time as the #2 jack in 2010 behind Upshaw but looked bad there and was moved to DE for more playing time. he might be the starting DE this year, battling with Dial for one of the spots. so it wasnt like he didnt play the position, he just got moved because of performance. big difference in telling a kid they will play jack and moved them before they even practice at the position.
You're more than welcomed. I apologize if my timing doesn't fit with your schedule. I just answered your question. Much like any player that looks like he might be able to play the position you never can tell how their body will mature. Stinson might have been 240 in 2010, wet. At the beginning of 2011 he was pushing 285-290. He grew out of the position as much as Courtney begin to establish himself as the starter. When called upon, he did well from his position in 2010. In fact, he led the team in total tackles when we played Penn State 2010. The move to DE didn't happen until the season concluded.
just kidding about the late post, thats y i said "lol". he didnt look good at jack throughout the season, trust me, kid only had 8 solos and 14 tackles that whole season, one game doesnt make a season, they had to leave him there until the end of the season because of the lack of depth there. thats the main reason they took 2 jacks (hubbard and Alfy Hill) in the next class, Hill didnt get in school because of a clearinghouse mixup. so they got another jack (Dickson) in the 2011 class to create depth, as u saw last year those 2 (Hubbard-rsFR and Dickson-trueFr) were the backups to Upshaw, they even moved Anthony Orr there because depth was an issue. Stinson tried to downplay it and by saying that they had alot of depth at jack and thats y they moved him back to DE but if there was so much depth why was there 2 freshman and a project as the backups. main thing is Stinson is better as a true DE than a hybrid and now he has a chance to possibly start over Dial.
just got word that Bama still leads for Nkem but LSU is the only major threat to bama to get him. everyone else is just for show.
I mean no offense RRM when I say this so please don't take it the wrong way. There's an adage "preaching to the choir." It's definitely apropos here. No need to waste your time telling me what's going on in Tuscaloosa. As it is, I follow it far too closely.
Pffft...., TerryP has no credibility! Why I remember not so long ago when he said Satan was leaving Miami to coach Bama....Oh wait, never mind.
