If he's being recruited by Alabama for that "jack" linebacker spot and he saw Adrian Hubbard in the Alabama spring game and I bet he did, he's got to realize that spot won't be open for a couple of years at least.
Jack linebacker is a myth. They have recruited many players for that spot and numerous ones the past 2 years. Just a way to make the recruit feel special while they determine if he will be a LB or DE after the arrive and to not scare away competition. Hell they told Demarcus Walker out of FL that he would be a jack too in the 2013 class.
they only guys that were told about playing the Jack the last 3 years is Hubbard, Dickson, and Anderson. they are listed as jacks on the depth chart. none of the other LBs the last 3 years have been told that. more than likely Nkem will end up playing DE because he will be too big by the time he arrives. Walker was 250 when Bama first told him he could possibly be a LB, he weighed in at 276 the other day, he will be on the DL as well.
its only BS when u prove its BS. go look at the depth chart regarding the jack position and go look at Walker's listed weight back then compared to his weight at a recent camp. its usually outside fanbases that bring up the jack position even though they know nothing
Personally I wouldn't use a roster as an indicator as to what positions were discussed during a recruitment. It is not like we don't see numerous articles about recruits being asked to play a position that always seems to be lacking in depth.
