might transfer from the U. http://www.miamiherald.com/1262/story/821168-p2.html Has LSU on his short list. you like-e? No. 8 QB in 2007. http://lsu.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?Sport=1&pr_key=48944 He played well this year at times.
What if JJ or JL turn out to be super stars along with RS. Marve would be left out in the cold again. That's not even mentioning the Mississippi kid. I like the up side of what we've got and what's coming better than him.
As a redshirt freshman at Miami this season, he did similar to our redshirt freshman Jarrett Lee: Marve -- 116 of 213 (54.5%), 1293 yards, 9 TDs, 13 INTs, 107.19 rating Lee -- 143 of 269 (53.2%), 1873 yards, 14 TDs, 16 INTs, 116.92 rating Marve -- 1 int for every 16 throws Lee -- 1 int for every 17 throws This Marve guy broke the Florida high school state records held by Tim Tebow for single-season passing yards (4,380) and touchdowns (48), and broke a 31-year year old state record for completions (280). His team won the state championship, he was named Florida's Mr. Football and a Parade All-American.
I think he would do pretty well. He is extremely mobile and is accurate, despite his INT's last year. Miami has a bobo, high school offense directed by incompetent coaches. He would do well in our system as his skill set matches our offensive tendencies. Im not sure if I would want a guy that has gay tats on the back of his arms but he is a good QB. He would probably beat out Harris in any offense outside of Miami's.
This guy is a thug. Go to the Miami boards and you will see that most of them WANT him to leave the program. From what I understand, he's a spoiled rich kid that thinks he's already a shoe-in to go pro, so he thinks he can do as he pleases. I mean, MIAMI suspended this guy 2 seperate times. Nobody else on their roster has tag besides him....and we're talking about "Thug U" here. Would be like the white version of RP.....
Okay, so the word "thug" gets tossed around a lot here on different threads. To me, thug=gang banger. A thug is someone who routinely carries a gun, or is arrested for violent/drug-related/gang-related type activities. If this kid fits that description then certainly he warrants the "thug" label. If not, be more choosey with your descriptions. If the kid has a "problem attitude", which is really what RP's issue was, is immature, a poor leader for a QB, etc, then those are the descriptions that should be used. I certainly don't want a "thug" on our team, but I also don't want a QB who is a poor leader, immature, or has an attitude problem that is disruptive to the team, either. Not accurate or fair to label someone a thug, though, unless you expand on that further and provide support for that description.
