THey sold it to Jai as well, and it took a tearful birthday party for his son to make him come to his senses. He's a Curtis kid. Let him go.

Just wondering why there hasn't been too much talk about him. With so few scholarships left, do you think Green will still be a Tiger? I think he's a very good prospect and if we don't get Patrick Johnson or TJ Bryant, he'd be a solid addition.

He said that he's been to every LSU home game and talks to Miles/Porter pretty regularly.

What do you guys think about him?

Robby was a highly touted recruit early in the process. His performance at various camps left something to be desired.....and that was consistent over several camps. I believe he'd love to be a Tiger.

Don't count on Patrick Johnson. Boy is solid to Miami. He is the real deal though no matter where he ends up. I saw him at camp when he came out West and he is an elite athlete.

Nope. Think he ends up at Bama. Don't know if he's all he was cracked up to be either.

Green appears to be on the back-burner.

I think he has been moved to the back of most coaches lists, but isnt bad, just not a top cb.

It will be interesting to see what happens to him especially since we have started showing more interest in his teammate, PJ Smith.

Not that it is the "kiss of death" . . . but Robbie Green no longer appears on today's Dandy Don list of players LSU is recruiting and has a chance to get. An article from TigerRag.com dated Oct. 16th includes LSU in the process.

"I speak to coaches from my top teams just about every other week," Green stated. "Overall it is about 7-8 schools. Schools like LSU, Alabama, USC, Arizona St, Florida, Kentucky, Ole Miss and Tennessee. I talk to coach [Les] Miles and [Larry] Porter about every other week.

PS - I REALLY hope this post doesn't start the 2003 NC argument again. IMHO, that has been beat to death.

Green is making his commitment today at 3pm. It is expected to be to Alabama.

LSU never recruited him very hard, and if he's still a 4 star that's one poor evaluation job by Rivals.

Wasn't it Green that was hurt in a championship game? I don't think we wanted him, plus I think he became even less attractive when he got hurt.

He did get injured, I just cant remember that game. He has good coverage skills but his speed is lacking. I assume he is too small to be a safety thus the lack of interest.
