There is no angst. LSU was the sole BCS National Champion in football in 2003. The only angst that year was with USC and its loyal fans in the media who could not stand the fact that USC was not National Champion that year, thus they threw 'em the AP bone. USC had a good team that year. I wish LSU could have played them but LSU did not have a hand in selecting its opponent in the National Championship game. All the schools who agreed to be part of the BCS agreed to abide by all of its rules. You can't cry when the rules you agreed to don't work in your favor. You can keep the crystal in your signature next to 2003 but it absolutely does not belong there. Don't get offended when LSU fans on an LSU forum call you out for. Its nothing personal, we simply know that truth.

    Several comments:

    1. Since the advent of the BCS, the AP poll is just a poll, not a championship.
    2. You can't be a national champion if you were not in the national championship game.
    3. In 2003 USC finished #1 in TWO rankings, LSU finished #1 in NINE!
    4. If you want to see the 2003 Crystal Football, it lives in Baton Rouge.
    5. The MacArthur Trophy has been presented to the National Champion since the 1950's, it has LSU engraved on it for 2003.

USC claiming half a title for 2003 is just pathetic. I'm embarassed for you. LSU owns the entire title and we have the hardware to prove it.

The weather has been uncharacteristically sunny and beautiful for June. I couldn't be more pleased. I hit the beach during the last warm spell. I think this upcoming weekend will definitely be a Doheny day.

just vball is fine with me. Wouldn't want you to have to get therapy or anything.

Green seems real big on Michigan and sounded pretty impressed with having the opportunity to be coached by Vance Bedford. Made comment about Michigan, Putting out a great # of DB’s in the past- naming Woodson and Law.

I guess he hasn't heard of LaRon.

Yes, Woodson and Law are marquee names, but I think LSU's VERY well represented with Tory James, Roman, Travis Daniels, Corey Webster, LaRon and Randall Gay....

Anyone find it kind of sad that Michigan is still selling the "You can be the next Charles Woodson"? It's been 10 years since he played at Michigan. 12 years since Ty Law played there. What happened to all the other 30+ guys that were supposed to be the next Woodson?

Frankly, most football recruits probably aren't nearly as smart as you are. They can give the "be the next Charles Woodson" line for as long as people remember who Charles Woodson is.
