There are a number of smaller brand motels (Hampton Inn,etc) along I-85 East just on the edge of Montgomery toward Auburn. Most are relatively new and reasonable. They are around Exits 6, 7, etc. Google Montgomery motels and just look for ones along I-85 East.
Anyone who schedules a wedding on a college football saturday is just an arse, sorry, just my .02 worth.
I reserved a room on the east side of Montgomery, now I need 2 tickets. What's crime like around town, should I expect a mugging?
I know, I know. It is very possible that I will just not go. I'm not a huge fan of going to weddings anyway. Oh also, I can give u the name of the guy I was going to get my tickets from. Just get the vaseline ready..... Last time I called him the tickets he had were going for over $300 per tic. Damn barners...grrrrr
I have been to the last 2 games there, never had a problem getting tickets outside, or paid more than face.
I might wait then. Maybe take my own advice. But with my luck both teams will be undefeated and in the top 5 with tickets goin for $400 ea
If you come to Jordan-Hare without tickets, you should expect to either (a) pay a fortune for tix, or (b) remain outside the stadium. you may be able to scalp tickets for some of Auburn's games, but you can bet you'll pay a severe premium for the LSU game, perhaps even moreso than the Bama or UGA games. Everyone understands the relative importance of this game, regardless of which team you support.
Well, I could count on the help of our barner friends here at TF.com for a little assistance....
