Just 4 weeks till we face the barners. In the last 6 weeks my yearly regular-season road trip has changed from USC to Florida to Auburn. Last time I saw a game @ Auburn it was in '89 and I was a member of Tiger Band.

Where to stay? Montgomery? Auburn? I'm a 2* guy but I'm bringing my wife so I guess I'll have to move up to at least a 3* hotel:rolleye33: suggestions for the area? Eats?

Just booked hotel this past weekend. Crossing our fingers that it is at least decent. Red Roof Inn in East Montgomery. About 45 minutes to an hour away from Auburn. It will be our first trip to Auburn.

nearly everything in the Auburn-Opelika area has been booked for months.

Assuming you'd be coming from Louisiana, Montgomery will likely be your best choice from a logistic and availability perspective. There's a nice 4-star property (it was once a Crown Sterling, then an Embassy Suites) but I'm not certain of the name it currently markets under now.

good luck and safe travels ......

:bncry: Damn my friend who decided to get married this weekend. I had plans on going myself. .....that could still change at any given moment though..i re-evaluating the friendship :hihi:

Nevertheless, I called many hotels in Auburn to find out cancellation dates etc

Hometown Suites advised that they have rooms available but you cannot book until 14 days prior to the date you want to stay as they have people living their for work and whatnot. they dont want to overbook. If i remember correctly the Suite with a king bed and one or two pull out couches was something along the lines of $250.00. Its a two night minimum, but the lady told me that could be worked out.

Anyway the number is 334-826-1123 if anyone needs it.

I have a nice spare bedroom. All the comforts of home. Of course I am still looking for a ticket for myself. Anybody with one extra, and need a place to stay, bring it on. And i'll even volunteer to be the DD:lol:
