I'm not sure that I buy the RJF grades stuff. He was qualified for the bowl, which means that he passed the fall semester. Same thing with Stefon Francois. From the bowl game, it appeared like Stefon Francois is out of the doghouse to me. RJF has never been a great student, and came to LSU to go to the pro's. He'll probably be a third round pick & I expect him to have a good career. Good luck to him.
Ciron & Scott have both put their names in to have their draft stock evaluated, but I expect both to be back. RJF is the only player I expect to go pro early, although we'll likely have several transfers as usual.
I think RJF just wore out his welcome with Miles. The poor play, the mouthing off before the Florida game. I don't think RJF had any fun this year. Being injured or hobbled for a good part of the season didn't help. I think he simply decided this was enough college football for him.
RJF is a stud. We were all excited for him b4 the season started. I remember a video posted of him that would pump anyone up. Between being injured and piss-poor D coaching this year, he didn't get to show us what he could really do. Too bad, I think staying for next year he could have really improved his stock (who knows, his family may need the $ - it is a really sucky economy right now). I for one, really appreciate what he did do for us and wish him the best. I think he has a bright future ahead of him.
Parso says that can't be the case if he played in the Gtech game. So what is the rule? Does he get to play in a game that is in between semesters is he has indeed not qualified going into this Spring semester?
My only guess would be he has some "deferred" class and the grades for that class are not due yet. Therefore technically he is still qualified till those grades are submitted.
