Go back and watch the Kentucky game. He was 7-17 but easily could have been 16-17 (one bad pass but it was into the breeze) if his receivers had cooperated and would have easily thrown for 400+. Chase Daniel, McCoy, Bradford, Reesing, etc. are all over hyped due to the midwest media machine and they are system guys with little talent. JPW has perfect hair and Daniel has a chinstrap beard. Need I say more? Oh yeah, his heart.
alot of these players probably have multiple ways to talk to eachother hell, some of them are probably friends. trash talking happens but, the fact that now we are hearing about it makes it so that fans and the media are involved. This is gonna hype up everyone in the swamp but lets face it, the one thing we need to do is sack tebow or get him a little bruised up thats his kryptonite (georgia, michigan). Weve seen that this is possible now we have to do it. Were gonna have to play great defense force turnovers and keep penalties to a minimum. If all fails on offense we will ride Sir Charles to victory. :lsup:LSU!:lsup:LSU!:lsup:LSU! :geaux:
There's a clarification on the whole quote on nola.com now from Ricky. Good enough I guess... However, Tim Tebow responded saying that in addition to his shoulder pads and helmet, he's going to wear his Guess Jean shorts and a book-filled Jansport school bag on his back so that Ricky Jean and Co. will look like bigger sissies after he runs them over Saturday Night. I guess the quote is legit. I read it in the Crawfish Gazette.
And a lot of people were saying that the blackout inspired Bama and backfired on Georgia, which lends to the entire "don't give the opponent extra motivation" angle. So if Florida's O-line dominates our D-line, then everyone will say that they were inspired by the comment by RJF. Luckily, that has absolutely zero chance of happening.
UPDATE: Jean-Francois issued this clarification this afternoon: "We never go into any football game trying to hurt a player from the other team. My comments in regard to Florida quarterback Tim Tebow were misinterpreted and were intended to reflect the style of football that we play at LSU. We have great respect for Tim as player and a competitor. By taking him out of the game, I meant as a defense we are going to try to make him ineffective. I’m sorry that my initial comments were interpreted another way." Who's RJF's speechwriter? Pretty good stuff.
