its really not that big of a deal and he doesnt have a reputation of being a dirty player. he shouldnt have said it regardless. i think the last time we went there the talk was about how tebow wouldnt be able to run and he proceeded to truck landry, so lets just go out there and block like we can and not turn the ball over none of this should really matter.
I believe in the praise your opponent to death and make them sound like the greatest thing since sliced bread. Then go out on the field and whip their butt and then after the game say how much you think of them and how lucky you were to win. If RJF said anything close to what they are saying then he just lost all interview privledges and you never ever say you want to hurt somebody. I dont care who it is. What ever happenned to playing the game and taking someones best and shaking their hand when the game is done leaving it on the field. If i am Les RJF is gonna run a few gassers and he would feel the wrath for running his mouth.
my parents never defended me. even when it was stated I was in the clear, they'd still not believe it. I guess i had already set a precedent long before.
I don't think many parents from our generation (or especially, earlier ones) defended their kids very much. It was, "If you get in trouble at school, it's twice the trouble at home." I was a wuss--and NEVER got into trouble at school. I didn't want to go home and face the football coach who would be waiting for me...
true. i didnt want to face the mother who was the juvenille probation officer and intake worker with the d.a.'s office. when i was old enough to REALLY get in trouble, she told me if i got busted for something she would make sure i had a nice little stay in jail so i could think about it. and i believed her.
