I don't see the big deal at all about this quote. There's nothing dirty about it, if Tebow is running towards them they're going to do their best to hit him as hard as possible. What do you expect them to do? Lay down and hope he falls down eventually? This is football.
haven't read any responses here but my thoughts are this: Having played football, I can't remember a time that I wasn't instructed to take as many legal shots on the qb as possible. You don't want to see anyone injured, but some bruised ribs, a concussion.. it's part of the game. I feel like I'd maybe be more upset about this if I were a Florida fan, but trust me, the florida defensive players have been instructed to do the same thing. It's just part of the game
Yeah that Midwest media machine, churnin out all their propaganda.:rofl: All 4 of those QB put up crazy years last year in the big 12 while JPW went 6-6. Oh and all 4 are better than JPW this year as well, if you can't see that then you need to take a deep breath and punch yourself in the face, maybe that will snap you back into reality lol
My old coach used to say "The best way to get inside his head is to get up-side his head." A QB (or receiver) who's thinking too much isn't really at his best.....
And that was my point in my earlier post. You don't have to kill the guy to "take him out of the game", just hit him a couple of good times so he's lookin over his shoulder each play. Tebow is tough, so this will be hard to do. But I think our D can get the job done.
if florida's offensive line looks anything like they did vs Ole Miss and LSU limits the turnovers, we should notch a W. thats the main reason tebow and the crew arent running as much. they just aren't blocking. Not sure if its due to injuries or inexperience or both. that identity they had the last 2 years on offense with tebow leading the charge has not surfaced yet. Not a good time to hope it does against LSU. limiting turnovers and keeping harvin in check will lead us to a nice win.
AFIK he's missed a few practices, but I'd be surprised if he didn't play. Meyer will pull out all the stops for this one.
