Rivals officially (and finally) listing Benton for LSU

    Nice to see.

    Not sure when we will see the push up the rankings because of it.

    It could propel LSU close to 8th, all other things being the same.

    If LSU gets the 4 players they want (Thomas, Bryant/Harris, Liuget, Shaw/McClain), then LSU should definitely finish no worse than 7th.

    No longer counting Brown since he appears to be USM and would not qualify if he was LSU anyway.

    Rivals rankings to be updated at 6 PM CST tonite (point values, that is).

    Everyone should realize that Benton is much more prepared to make an impact on this team in the fall than Brown would have been.

    Just ask Parso how damned excited he is about this kid.

    Hargrave does a great job adjusting players to a higher level of competition.

    I expect Benton to contribute at least as much as, if not more than Tolliver did this season.

    Benton is certainly an elite reciever. Glad he's qualified!

    Can someone refresh my memory on this guy and why he is not rated with Rivals but they are calling him a 5 star recruit?

    He was a 5 star from last year but didnt qualify and now he is close to qualifying (and all reports are that he will after the spring semester) and will count again towards the 08 class.
