    What date does Rivals use as the cut-off for changes to its evaluation of a kid? Is it after their senior season ends in december? After the Army All-American game? Does anyone know?

    I try not to get too worked up about recruiting, so I don't know the answer to this question. But I have heard stories that Rivals will change the rating on a kid specifically because a certain school (often, but not always, AMAB) is recruiting him. It seems to me that happened with Javier Arenas, who IIRC went from 3 to 4 stars when he committed to AMAB. The AMAB fans on the radio in Montgomery couldn't understand the excitement over signing a guy that had previously only been recruited by the likes of La Tech. (Of course, Arenas has turned out to be a good catch--competent as a DB and a big playmaker as PR. Nobody really knows what is going to happen with a kid once he gets to the school.)

    I ran the numbers, AMAB only wins because it's 18th & 19th best recruits are 4 stars vs our 3 stars. If Shepard, Coston and Randle end up being as good as advertised (all in the Rivals top 10--only AMAB has even 2 top 10 players), this class will get big things done for the Tigers.

    The Gumps can claim the Rivals#1 spot, considering who runs Rivals, this is on par with having a "Peoples Championship Parade" :wave:

    I am more than happy with our class and the fact that all the air time on TV (ESPN) it's all LSU as being the #1 class. :thumb:
