Overall, I think Rivals has had a bit of a shock realizing how much talent is in Louisiana and has overdone it. The Louisiana rankings are, as a whole, a bit inflated and not particularly good. At least 3 of these guys will likely fall out of the top 250, and I expect Lacey & Conner to fall out of the top 100. There will be some shuffling. I think Tahj Jones is a top 250 prospect, but his grades may hold him back. However, Janzen Jackson & Michael Ford are underrated. Both are top 100 players. Barkevious Mingo seems a bit high considering how raw he is right now. He may justify that ranking in his senior year, but right now I can't say I agree with it. IMO, Calhoun is a top 100 prospect. If he plays more defense this year he may move up. I only included Fluker to point out that he should be not be a top 100 prospect. He's too slow & not athletic enough for DT, and doesn't look like a great OL either. He's a top 250 guy, nowhere near a top 50 prospect. While I believe Downs is a solid 4 star prospect, I can't really argue with him being outside the top 250 at this point. Orelus should easily be in there though.
overall not bad like you said ford should be higher I don't really have too many complaints looks pretty good our 09 class is amazing can't wait to see how it continues to develop a problem I do have is that I think that minter should be in here
Lacey stayed, Conner is out. Ford won't have a chance to move up until he shows what he can do healthy, but Jackson is now in the top 100.
The updated top 250 is out tomorrow, right? Or..am I crazy? Thats a distinct possibility with the way my semester's been.
The Rivals 100 has been updated, and the remaining 150 of the 250 will be updated tomorrow. TigerBait.com - Spring evals bring changes to Rivals100 Brockers fell out of the top 100, but should still be high in the 250. Janzen Jackson is #91, Darren Myles, a safety out of Georgia (no LSU offer yet) is now #74 & Bostic is #52.
Myles recieved an offer about a month ago according to Myles and Scout. Probably not a commitable one though. Thanks for the update. Scout.com: Louisiana is home
