Texas A&M Students Block Westboro Baptist Protesters With Human Wall When students heard that Westboro Baptist Church planned on protesting the funeral of a soldier, they formed a human barricade around the funeral service to block them out. God bless the ‪Maroon wall today protecting family of Lt Col Roy Tisdale class of '93 from protesters at his funeral. The protesters never showed up - maybe it dawned in their pea-sized brains that protesting an Aggie soldier's funeral in College Station might not be such a good idea, especially after putting out leaflets like this:
The Westboro baptist church community or the people that believe in this pamphlet make me sick. They should leave America since they believe in this because they are contributing to America in some where or another. Lt. Tisdale did not die in vain, god bless.
Although Voltaire may not have ever actually said "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to to the death your right to say it", I have long believed the same thing. As such, while I find the WBC's message idiotic and odious, they must have the right to express that message. In the same vein, the Aggies' response was appropriate and eloquent. When the pigskin is teed up in a few weeks, A&M will be simply another SEC West opponent and a potential stumbling block to Tiger glory and will be treated as such. Until then, however, I salute those men and women with heartfelt respect. On a lighter note, in the second picture in the original post is there somebody taking a leak?

For a military school, they should have better tactics. I wish they would have let the protesters come in to confront the family....and then ambush them like a bunch of Apaches....counting coup and taking scalps !!!
I don't see them blocking anyone. Also killing people from sinful nations is a pretty typical tactic for god, not sure if the Westbrook folks are wrong.
