Nah dude. Peyton Manning runs like a 5.3 and I know Scott could beat him in the 40 by at least 1 step.
Projection: 2nd Round NFL DRAFT BIBLE - Charles Scott Charles Scott, , NFL Draft - CBSSports.com - NFLDraftScout.com Charles Scott*|*LSU,*RB*:*2010 NFL Draft Scout Player Profile 40 Time: 4.58
So. Ryan Leaf was the #2 player selected in the draft, all the experts had him up there. Jamarus Russell was picked #1. I never said he wouldn't be drafted, I have seen 4 years of what he can do and what he can't do and as a running back there is a big list of things he can't do. Anyone that drafts him will convert him to FB. If he can't play FB then I would suggest he start thinking of life beyond football. He is a strong guy, but unless you are going to call Run Up the Back of Center play after play there isn't anything that I can see that he does well. I assure you that play only gets called by LSU at either level play after play. Great kid, glad he is Tiger, but I personally don't see a RB at all.
exactly, dont use common sense around here. Lets just compare #1 and #2 picks with a guy whos projected to go second or third round and call them all bust. Thats apples and oranges, thats how we do things around here these days.
Well of course there is no common sense around here... you are still here. I never compared them, it was to show that experts don't always know everything.... again you fail to READ.... go to school. You are so worked up with anger when someone disagrees with you that you fail to read or maybe you just don't how to. I guess I am watching some other team with LSU on their helmet, been watching Scott for 4 year, 2 years as a starter... that crap hasn't work and won't work... unless you schedule Tulane or some of BFE school. My proof... two years of watching this nonsense. Here is the last guy that was drafted that they thought could run over NFL players, heck Scott can't even run over SEC players.
Set.... Bait..... Trap..... This is complete nonsense, Scott had a monster season last year, because he had a great fullback and a good run blocking line. He doesnt have that this year, but he still has what it takes to be a good back in the NFL. If you werent comparing them, then why did you mention Leaf and Russell? :dis:
He did not have a monster year... he had a monster year against BFE schools and early in the year first 5 games... the only one you are trapping is yourself. Of course, it's not all his fault, it's not his fault at all. He is playing as hard as he can. By the time they hit heavy SEC schools it was all over... by Mississippi it was dead as a door nail. 10 attempts for 10 yards. Rewriting history is not going to change anything. I formation OVER THE CENTERS back was over after Mississippi State LAST YEAR. That crap is not going to work game in and game out in the SEC, heck it isn't even working against BFE schools now. They should call that play the DRIVE KILLER.
This gets real tiring. You think I am just picking on you, but alot of people on this board think your post and opinions are just as asinine as I do. 8/30/08 Appalachian St. Grass W 41-13 16 160 10.00 2 09/13/08 North Texas Grass W 41-3 7 102 14.57 2 09/20/08 @ Auburn Grass W 26-21 21 132 6.29 0 09/27/08 Mississippi St. Grass W 34-24 27 141 5.22 2 10/11/08 @ 1 Florida Grass L 21-51 12 35 2.92 0 10/18/08 @ South Carolina Grass W 24-17 16 61 3.81 2 10/25/08 13 Georgia Grass L 38-52 21 144 6.86 2 11/01/08 Tulane Grass W 35-10 12 114 9.50 1 11/08/08 6 Alabama Grass L 21-27 24 92 3.83 2 11/15/08 Troy Grass W 40-31 24 90 3.75 1 11/22/08 14 Mississippi Grass L 13-31 10 10 1.00 0 11/28/08 + Arkansas Turf L 30-31 12 28 2.33 1 12/31/08 + 22 Georgia Tech Turf W 38-3 15 65 4.33 3 Totals 217 1174 5.41 18 See those teams that are in the bold font, those are SEC teams, but the end of the season he got wore down like alot of running backs do. Also, he only got 10 carries against Ole Miss and 12 Against Arkansas and Florida. Oh I'll explain that point to you as well, here it goes. When you are losing and get down early in a game, you stop running the ball because you have to pass and score quickly to come back..... He had 132 at Auburn, 141 at Miss St, 144 against Georgia, 92 against Alabama. He scored 9 touchdowns, last time I checked those were SEC schools. Oh you said heavy SEC schools, like Georgia and Alabama? Yea he had a bad game against Florida, but we where down early and had to abandon the run as well. Is their anything else you would like to know?
Look at those stats... it was over after Mississippi State last year. LSU was down 17-0 before Lee even threw an INT against Florida last year because that CRAP does not and will not work constantly in the SEC. His stats are not great at all if you throw out the BFE school... since the Mississippi State it has been dead as a door nail. That DRIVE KILLER play is not going to work in the SEC constantly, he might have a big game once in awhile or a good play but the honeymoon has been over for well over a year. Those stats show you exactly what I said, after Mississippi State it was all over.... but you don't even have to look at those stats... all you had to do is watch the game. IT'S OVER, SORRY IT HAS TAKEN YOU ANOTHER WHOLE SEASON TO FIGURE OUT WHAT THE SANE PEOPLE FIGURED OUT LAST YEAR. He is a great kid, it's stupid people trying to make him something he is not that is the problem. He can still be affective if he is used at the right place and time, I thought the Florida game this year they should have just kept handing it too him.
