I can't think of why the Muts are replacing their hitting coach, but they did, and Rickey Henderson is taking over the job. He will obviously be great for Reyes, but I don't know if his cockiness (he said in May he would still hit .300 and steal 60 bases a year if he played), is what the Mets need. Time will tell, though.
Keep a close eye on the guy in the Reyes jersey. It's only a matter of time before Rickey takes matters into his own hands in order to show that Rickey can still play.
i wen to the game tonight, ricky's first as hitting coach. first two met batters hit homers. i thought, man, ricky must have been giving some hella good advice. they came back to earth and finished off the redlegs.
turns out we were a little premature and the hitting coach is actually hojo, rickey will coach first.
Ricky says that Ricky says that Ricky says that Ricky says... Used ta love to go to the A's games in the 80's to see dude waving at almost ANYBODY in the stands that would wave to him in the outfield... Between pitches dude was ALWAYS spyin' the fans... One of the game's all-time characters, with an almost out-of-body way of talking about ANYTHING.... Ricky is THE ALL TIME undisputed king of third-person referencing.... :thumb:
