Set for this saturday on PPV . Who do you want to win? Who do you think will win and by how? My feelings are kinda neutral..I like mayweather for being the american in this fight but hatton has handled the trash talk buy him pretty well...should be a good fight. my prediction.... Hatton by KO in the 9th
I'm trying to figure out how to watch this fight. I've got a Christmas party (one of THREE this weekend), but have to see it somehow. I love Mayweather, though felt pretty letdown with the fight against De La. This one should be a lot better, as Hatton isn't just a businessman like De La. I'll go with Mayweather on the points. I think he'll be defensive and try to outlast the fat boy, rather than get in a brawl with him. I really, really hope I'm kind of wrong and he knocks out Hatton in the 9th or 10th. I just don't see it happening, based on Floyd's last few fights (and the fact that Hatton punches like a maniac in spurts.)
Hatton is a better pure fighter, imo, but if I'm not mistaken, this fight will be in Mayweather's chosen weight class. It will be hard as heck to go into his division and beat him. So with that being said, I also like Floyd on the cards in a really, really good fight.
I'm assuming you're drawing the distinction between boxer and fighter, no? That's right about the weight class being Mayweather's normal class, though he's won the belt in multiple.
i am kinda the scenario i have my company christmas party at 7 and the first fight of 3 is schedule to start at 8 . they are 10 and 12 rd fights so hopefully that will buy me a couple of hours to make it back from the party and get to watch the full fight...i am kinda excited about this one and the Pavlik Taylor 2 fight
Not sure who will win, as I don't follow boxing as much as I would like, but I'm going to pull for Hatton.
Best Christmas party ever...the gracious host got the fight on PPV, just because one guy asked about it. SO, I got to see the fight and it was awesome. Mayweather came out aggressive, which he hasn't done in a while (maybe the Gatti fight was the last time.) Hatton has an absolutely granite chin. He got some good shots in on Mayweather, but could not account for Money's speed. Hatton took so many blows and just would not go down. Finally, he just ran out of gas. Great, great effort from both boxers. Mayweather was simply the better boxer. This is the first fight in a long time that was worth the price of admission.
Hatton showed he was tough, as a lesser man would have been history way, way earlier, but right now, it's Mayweather then everyone else down here.
