Long overdue, IMO, but its finally Rickey Jackson's time! Something that generally isn't mentioned when comparing City Champ to the other greats....he's tenth on the all-time sack list, following Smith, White, Greene, Doleman, Strahan, Randle, Dent, Taylor and O'Neal. Of that list, all except Randle, who played DT much of his career, and Jackson had the luxury of rushing the QB's blind side. In the Dome Patrol, that was Pat Swilling's position. The QB always saw Rickey coming, and he still got there 128 times.
City Champ was the heart of that D. I would argue that Sam Mills was the soul. Jackson made Swilling and Vaughn Johnson the players they were. Its about time he got his due.
