he is not interfering with an arrest by cursing the officer out. the police officer initiated physical contact because he was verbally assaulted, which the court ruled that you cannot be detained for. The officer could have ignored the kid using foul language and its not physical conflict to begin with. Understand what I am getting at.
I understand. The first guy reviled an officer, which is not a crime. His case will get thrown out, you are correct. But Jefferson and the third guy interfered with an arrest and laid hands on an officer. They do not get to decide if an arrest is legal or not. They cannot under any circumstances interfere with an arrest or assault an officer. They will have trouble getting this dropped.
WHat I found interesting is that Miles said he hadn't heard anything about it until the story came out in the Times Pic article. I find that a bit mystifying, that somebody wouldn't have called or texted him right away when they heard it.
Oh make no mistake, they (and that includes many more than Les) knew. Lots of checks were scratched, 50 yd line tickets handed out, all sort of perks to keep this quiet this long and it probably isn't over yet. I'm sure the Judge and BRPO involved as well as the DA are now on the take as well.
Hey, it is either that or #9 passed down his coveted pictures of Les and that goat to his little brother.
