Louisville Coach Rick Pitino in middle of extortion case | ChattahBox News Blog I like to see the extortion charge. These gals need to stop using consensual sex as a meal ticket by charging it was rape, or trying to extort money. Course the guy needs to stay out of trouble also.
not only is it an embarrassment, it makes it more difficult for women who truely do have sex forced on them.
Pitino's wife should feel doubly damaged by this. An affair is disrespect enough, but to use HER brother as a crutch....I wonder how understanding he would be if she started offering herself up as the piece de resistance. I like this guys take on the "indiscretion" : Rick Pitino Invokes 9/11 (Again) During Apology | NBC Miami There's no doubt that the attack on the World Trade Center was difficult for Pitino. His brother-in-law, who worked for Cantor Fitzgerald, was among the people killed that day and that's certainly not an easy thing for anyone to deal with. It's also not something that has anything to do with what happened in a Louisville restaurant in 2003 nor with the events that led to his press conference on Wednesday. It's beyond offensive to use the memories of Billy Minardi, Pitino's brother-in-law, and the 3,000 other people who died that day as a crutch to try and make yourself look more sympathetic in the face of accusations involving infidelity and abortion. What makes this even worse is that Pitino does this with a regularity that would make Rudy Giuliani uncomfortable. As Tommy Craggs of Deadspin points out, Pitino invoked 9/11 when reports of his involvement with Sypher first bubbled to the surface in June. A lot of people lost something that day, and a lot of people struggled to deal with what they lost. Only the weakest and most narcissitistic use it as a way to make themselves feel better about doing something wrong. Deceks, that writer is on point about Pitino's use of 9/11 to justify his immoral behavior. It really is an insult to all those who lost someone or something of their life in that tragedy...especially all those first responders who lost their lives trying to save others. If giving your life for others is Christlike, then imagine how un-Christlike it is to diminish your responsibility in a grievous sin by using them as an excuse to keep your job. If Pitino is a devout Catholic Christian, then in addition to truly repenting and begging for the forgiveness that he (or any one of us, for that matter) does not deserve; he should resign immediately so as to avoid the scandal of leading any of his players or admirers astray!! :911:
Psychological exam sought for woman in Pitino case | College Sports | Chron.com - Houston Chronicle A little update on the case. It's a strange one!
Anybody have pics of the aborted fetus? Reports are that it looked just like the father. Ok, maybe that was wrong.
So, the prosecutors asked the judge to order a psychological exam of Ms. Sypher, but the judge refused to order it! http://www.courier-journal.com/arti...jects-psychiatric-evaluation-for-Karen-Sypher Heading to trial as of now, unless she cops a plea.
