No. You asked a question that required me to speculate on someones else's thoughts and rationale. I declined such a foolish thing.

Yes, what fortune! To inherit the worse recession since the Great Depression. What an opportunity! You are grasping at straws. Do you think that anyone buys this crock? :insane:

And what a tragedy for Dubya to inherit a booming economy and a budget surplus. No wonder he was such an unprecedented failure.

You need go no further back than the last recession (2001), an L-shaped recession like this one with slow steady recovery. We have had U-shaped recessions, WW-shaped recessions, and yes, some V-shaped recessions. Do you remeber how long it took to recover from the Depression?

My politics are not based on a single issue. Certainly not your pet issue.

It's not clear at all. You want to credit Bush while at the same time disparaging Obama for stimulating the economy that Bush crashed.

So he missed it by 1%. Nobody said that he was perfect and rides unicorns and blows jobs out of his ass.

Correct, Reagan ran huge deficits. But he gets a pass because of the internal collapse of the "Evil Empire". :rolleye33:

Lets see how fast you change your mind after a GOP president finds his way back into office.

The polls show a fluctuating curve and it is a long way to the election.

Sorry, you don't get to speak for the independents.

It's what people call rhetoric without substance. You offer no examples, you offer no supporting evidence, you offer no proof. Trickle-down economy has been thoroughly debunked as myth.

You say there are no poor people when it suits you and later you say that there are poor people when it suits you.

It suits me to consider your position contradictory and shallow.

    So, challenge his statements.

Repeating the same old talking points is not a challenge.

You always say this an then point to the wage gap as proof. But that's not all there is. How about the fact that historically we have had one of the lowest unemployment rates of any developed nation? Our country has led innovation and investment in new technologies and we are the richest country in the world. Trickle down has not been debunked at all. That is a lie.

None of those superlatives relate to trickle-down economics! Supply-side economics is a specific economic theory that failed spectacularly during the 2000's.

Trickle down' economics has not worked since Herbert Hoover tried it. Every dollar devoted to the middle class causes the economy to grow three times faster than a dollar for the rich, according to CBO. Millionaires save more of their tax cuts. Middle class families spend them.

Since 1900, Democratic presidents have produced a 12.3% annual return on the S&P 500, Republicans only 8%. GDP growth since 1930 is 5.4% for Democratic presidents and 1.6% for Republicans.
