If any strangers would've touched my wifes belly when she was pregnant without her consent, I would have stomped their fingers into mush. Man Rule #17684: You don't mess with someones pregnant woman. You non-fathers don't know it yet, but there are some serious primal protective instincts that surface when your children are involved, born or unborn. For you guys thinking it's no big deal, just wait your turn and see....
My wife's belly was rubbed a few times while she was pregnant for 3 kids. Never bothered her or me. The guy who tried rubbing her when she wasn't pregnant wishes he wouldn't have though.
the story didnt say how. but there are different ways of touching a pregnant womans belly. depending on how would be different conclusions.
To charge them with Simple Battery is ridiculous. Touching her on the stomach may be inappropriate, but it is not Simple Battery.
http://www.georgiadefenders.com/assault.simplebattery.htm SIMPLE BATTERY is a misdemeanor in GA Definition of Simple Battery A simple battery occurs when you: 1) Make intentional contact of an insulting or provoking nature; or 2) Cause intentional harm to another.
So you are saying that if two very large black men came up to your wife and rubbed on her belly without her consent, to the point that she calls the police and presses charges against the men, then you would be ok with that? To each his own, I suppose...
It does say how: "a female alleged she was touched without her consent at a campus dorm." "Without her consent" is the key word. Obviously she felt threatened enough to press charges. All, this is not a difficult issue. Nobody has the right to lay their hands on a woman if she doesn't consent to it. How would you like it if two strange men walked up to you and grabbed your ass? They were charged with a misdemeanor crime - that sound about right to me.
