The Browns traded Trent Richardson to the Colts today for a number one draft choice. Colts are getting their offensive juggernaut rebuilt.

Seems bizarre that CLE would do that. Why now w/a young RB like TR? I get why Indy wants him. Heck, they got Luck w/#1, and got the #3 from the same draft, just 2 years more mature. Did CLE just give up on their year already?

Yes, and they are going all in on a QB for the future. Mett? Manziel? Bridgewater?

I could see them doing that. Except for the fact they drafted a 28 year old Brandon Weeden in the first round last year and already seem to be giving up on him too. They are a mess.

Trent did about as well as a running back could do in Cleveland. If you're gonna rebuild, he would be the perfect offensive piece to build around but don't tell that to the management.

the Browns going for broke in the draft, they made out because Richardson is not worth a first round pick. Anyone who says different is blind.

Yep, they now have 7 picks in the first 4 rounds next year. This year's a wash though, but if they can get Manziel, some receivers, another RB, and O-line help, they'll be tough. They're already stacked on defense.

You're prerogative obviously, but if you don't think he's a top 5 draft pick, then you haven't been watching. The only thing that may keep him from No.1 overall is his off the field antics. It will be between him and Bridgewater.

Maybe Cleveland realized that taking a tailback in the first round these days is one of the dumbest draft moves you can make. Unless its Adrian Peterson, you just do NOT take a RB in the first round. And top 3 makes that one of the most idiotic things you can do. It's been proven time after time after time that in today's game you can value at running back later in the draft and even in free agency. I point to the Saints. Pierre Thomas, undrafted, Chris Ivory (gone) was undrafted, Sproles was a 4th rounder when drafted by the Chargers, and then you have that piece of shit Mark Ingram, first rounder. I would take the practice team running back before Ingram.
