I watched that whole game and I never saw Sherman on the other side of the field unless his receiver took him there. No one is denying he is a great corner, and I don't know why you feel the need to defend him like you're related to him, but he has studs around him that make him better. Fact. He routinely covers 2nd through 4th receivers because of his reputation as a shut down corner. That's fair, the scheme and his teammates make him better than he is and if he played for the Cardinals he would not be the same player. He plays next to one of the best safeties in the league. What happens when he matches up against the best? The same thing that happens to Peterson, he's beatable.

This board is for debate. I'm not defending him per se. I'm defending my point. And it kind of does sound like you are denying he's a great corner. You're doing it in this very post. Saying he plays next to one of the best safeties in the league...as if that safety doesn't play next to one of the best corners in the league. How are they studs and he's not? Do you hear yourself? I don't know why you feel the need to downplay him like he spit on your relative. Actually I do know why...

I love reading your posts but you have a tendency of letting your feelings for a player cloud your rationale.

I think he's a top 5 corner, but I also think it's a lot easier on him than it is on the other guys in the league. Like Manning. He has always played with absolute studs at receiver, and guys like Rodgers and Brees haven't. It's true, I don't like him. I don't deny his history has been one of locking down receivers. I'm just saying I don't think (THINK is the key word here) he would be nearly as successful if he for instance had his roles reversed with Darell Revis or Peterson. And we won't know the answer to that unless he is traded or everyone on his team is.

Jordy Nelson is better than any WR Drew's played with. Hands down. Greg Jennings wasn't bad neither was an aging Donald Driver. Rodgers has had weapons galore. His OL has been the issue most times.

I think Lasalle meant Tom Brady. He's played with scrub receivers minus a year of randy Moss when he gave a shit. Rodgers has had stellar receivers.

You could also say his poor mechanics are possibly from his size. 6'1" 220 pounds is a lot of weight to change directions with. Joe Haden is 5'11" 195 pounds and Sherman 6'3" 195 pounds for comparison. But yeah he did a little too much talking after his contract and now he has the spotlight on him every game. Wish they still had him returning punts....he could have been an all time great

It hurts me more because PP is my favorite tiger ever, but this has been a subpar season for him.
