Hester was quoted as having beaten one of the other RBs in a 60 yard race, and I believe it was Murphy he was talking about. Murphy doesn't have great break away speed, but he's got good open field moves.

What were our national rankings in rushing when we had Kevin Faulk taking the majority of the carries? Or when Broussard and Vincent, or Vincent and Addia mad the majority of the carries? There wasn't really any solid 3rd, 4th and 5th RB that I can remember. It would be interesting to note the differences.

LSU has had, at times, more of a two-back system, right?

    Hilliard, James.
    Faulk, Collins.
    Faulk, Mealey.
    Toefield, Davis.
    Vincent, Broussard.
    ect.

What I was looking for. Thanks. So Big_Wee is more on target - it's what he can do in space. Should be an interesting lineup next year.

Don't forget the original who was in there with Faulk - Kendal Cleveland.

Not critiquing...just thinking of a few more off the top of my head.

    Fuller/Harvey Williams

    ...or....Sammy Martin/Harvey Williams

I did a quick search and couldn't easily find the details.

I think most schools probably have a primary and a second (i.e. two back system). I'm good with that. Actually, I'm good with what we're doing right now. I just don't want it to hurt recruiting because it keeps KW or CS or anyone else from breaking out like Addai and Faulk eventually did. They didn't have to share 222 ypg with 4 or 5 other ball carriers....

How many times have the other backs fumbled? Just curious. I'm talking about Keiland Williams, Charles Scott, and Richard Murphy...how many fumbles lost between them?;) (hint-it rhymes with "hero".:thumb:

Just saying. I have no problem with Hester...just hate it when people use the "never fumbles" excuse.

Yeah, that's what I'm talk 'bout... I couldn't remember who it was with Harvey. It was a tad before my time. I'm sure there were one-two punches with Charles Alexander and Terry Robiskie too.

I'm hoping he develops into the second coming of Josh Reed. :tigereye:
