No kidding. 2 cupcakes give EVERYONE a shot to prove their game performance. What 2 cupcakes do not do is give you the opportunity to showcase your talent. Some composure please. After all, his name is Richard and that is a name for kings...
My personal feeling is that the coaches have not wanted to give Auburn coaches much to study about Richard Murphy. I have a feeling we'll see much more of him starting this Saturday.
 We don't know that we have offensive problems, folks. We just don't have the kind of QB at the moment who can make us all comfortable given an SEC schedule. We'll find out if we actually have an "offensive problem" in the coming weeks.
I echo this sentiment. Our offense hasn't really exhibited any problems. You want to see offensive problems? Look ahead to Saturday's opponent! :hihi::shock: We have shown good balance running and passing and our QB's have been pedestrian at worse, completing more than 50% of their passes and moving the chains for yardage and points. Combine this with a good defense and we have a recipe for championship(s)!
The QB's are not Murphy's friends this year. What I mean is that, because our passing game is not very good, teams cheat which leaves much less open field which is what Murphy operates best in. Further, Murphy hasn't had the chance to come out of the backfield a lot because that would be a checkdown our QBs probably aren't ready for. However, it looks like he has moved up to #2 on the depth chart and his touches should only increase as the season goes on.
I think this can be flipped around here. Our passing attack will consist primarily of screens and slants and passes to the flat, which is right up Murphy's alley.
Because we can't throw it down the field teams will cheat like Cparso said and take that away first. Unless somebody can actually hit a 25 yard pass Murphy will be neutralized.
From a numbers standpoint, you may be right...but he can make guys miss with the best of them and then flat-out outrun them. He'll be good for a few yards after the catch regardless the coverage, and inching down the field is Miles' game.
Remember, time of possession is our friend. If Scott can grind it out, and Murphy can get 5-6 yards on his carries, we hold onto the ball. That's half the battle right there.
