what did richard dickson end up doin? no combine. good tight end. even tho i dont believe miles took advantage of him at all doing all that blocking to help out our great o-line but is he just hoping for a good pro day(which is when btw?) will he even be in attendance?:geaux:
Yes and he's also getting a look at fullback: One player that wasn't invited to Indianapolis is tight end Richard Dickson. He finished his career as LSU's all-time leading receiver for tight ends, but NFL teams are taking a look at him as a fullback. Dickson and other LSU players trying to latch on an NFL team will have a chance to impress scouts again on March 15th. That's when LSU is hosting its pro day. For many players, it will be their last chance to impress scouts, before the NFL draft, which starts April 22nd. * - WWL - AM870 | FM105.3 | News | Talk | Sports
I think he can succeed either way. With being a tight end primarily, he can give his offense a FB that can catch. Or, if the offense tries to do away with fulbacks in favor of extra tight ends, he can make the transition.
Much like cs, I think Dickson has good ball control skills. He might make a great fullback if he can hold blocks and bust some holes open.
We are all Tiger fans so I'm sure it was done in jest. But you're right, he deserves the utmost respect. He's done alot for LSU and although he felt that he was overlooked the past couple of years, he still feels strongly enough about LSU to allow his little brother to come play for LSU, too. Richard is a class act and so is Travis and the entire Dickson family. I wish him the best of luck on his quest for a career in the NFL. It seems like just yesterday I was watching Richard dominate high school football. A BCS National Championship and a few LSU tight end records later he is looking to be drafted in the NFL.:thumb: All the luck in the world to you, Richard. You have one of these :crystal:.....now go get you one of these:|lombardi|. Keep up the good work.
Uh im the apparent innapropriate jerk who orgianally titled this thread but last time i checked dick was short for richard is it not? :huh:i dont see how that is disrespectful by any definiton of the word. i have the utmost respect for this guy and anyone who puts on a lsu jersey, hence my questions regarding him. i have many a friend who are named richard and prefer the nick name. but i guess calling #32 chuck scott would be all the same. i will watch my derrogatory typing from now on and i do apoligize:insane:
