But I do it with flair and panache, thus you are compelled to reply. I don't require disertations to make my point.
And therein lies one of the points of the post. There is a better way. If you feel that strongly about the decisions that are being made in the program then do something that will truly affect change. Booing, to me, is taking the "seagull approach". You dump and then fly away. You really have no intention of doing anything other than telling everyone how crappy they are from your perspective. It is an empty calorie. It has no substance. If you are truly displeased and you truly want to make a difference then take meaningful action.
Thankfully we are there to illustrate the problem for the team through our vocal expressions of displeasure. I'm certain that none of the people in the organization realized there were problems until the crowd got involved. It's really not about booing, it's about results. You're absolutely right that booing is not unique. It is also correct that booing delivers no results. So lets try something different. Human beings feed on emotion and support. I can't tell you how many LSU baseball games I have attended where the fans started cheering and making noise in support of the team when they were having a difficult game or they were behind. This kind of support and positive energy led to far better results than getting down on your team. Far more has been accomplished in this world through positive support and encouragement than piling on. A lesson that I personally can and should practice more often. A lesson that is far more productive and rewarding than adding insult to injury.
Its funny how a baseball player can hit a ball pitched at 98 mph with all kinds of movement on it while the crowd boos him and shouts insults about his manhood. On the other hand a golfer gets to stand over the ball for as long as he wants, figure out the wind and distance and all the angles but gets royally pissed if somebody in the crowd so much as whispers
im one who believes a fan can do as he wishes (within legalities) but i think you had a very compelling reply. I think furds radar was just a bit off much like staceys usually is.
or why 250-300lb 20 yr olds get their psyches hurt when they suck and drunks boo them? because their mamas dads teachers babied them.
