That dude is trash just like Petrino. He claims he was "fraudulently induced to sign a contract with false promises." WVU shouldn't let him walk away with that...It's just getting so bad with coaches now that not only do they leave within a year of signing new contracts, but also don't wanna pay the buyout...It's like having your cake and eating it too.
Not saying I disagree with you on RR character but some of West Virginia's "Big boosters" agree with him, in that the things promised should have been delivered and are pulling millions back in contributions. RR may or may not have done the "Right" thing or the "Best" way but there's some substance to what he's saying. If a man gives his word, he should stand on it- coaches, and boosters. :thumb:
I dunno how I feel about his buy-out .... But I love him!!! The way his WVU team "looked out" for us in their game vs Pitt.... PLUS, he took the UM job which removed that 800 pound gorilla from our backs. I am all about RR!!! Thanks for some good looking out!!! :crystal: :champs: :crystal: :champs: :crystal:
Nahhh, I'm not convinced, those are accesory things when you look at the big picture...If he wants to leave that's fine, but he knows there are consequences if chooses to do that...It just seems that he was looking for the first opportunity to get out. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he left cause that took the gorilla of our back, but it's amazing that the media are slandering our coach for being honest and staying and praising Rodriguez for what he's doing.
Im going to have to agree with RichRod. It seemed as if it would take a lot after last year for him to leave his alma mater and home state. And considering every single person is on his side i find it hard for me not to be.
As should the school President and his AD. They dug this hole and the money people don't want to help them out of the mess they created. They want them gone. Just as an aside...if there is one coach out there right now that knows how to deal with over-zealous Board members, Presidents, AD's, etc. it is Terry Bowden. I see it as a good fit for WVU. If there was a team they were looking at, it wasn't LSU. A win would have put them against OSU. More funds to allocate throughout the program. More money for Asst. Coaches. Hiring more help for recruiting. Those things are far, far from being accessory items.
