I have been depending on others telling me CLM is not leaving but after reading what Les said today I think he is gone. We all love certain things in life that are bigger than we are. I think Les has a deep love for big Blue and I think he has people that have been on his side for most of his life calling him to right the ship in Michigan. If you don't see a offer go out to another coach this week they are waiting until Sat to break the news of Coach Les Miles to be the next coach at Michigan. Next week we will be looking for some lucky guy to win a BCSNC with Les Miles guys!
I would not think much of it at all!!! this is my #1 guy Head Coach: Jack Del Rio Pro Career: Jack Del Rio was named head coach of the Jaguars on Jan. 17, 2003, becoming the second head coach in franchise history. Del Rio was the defensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers in 2002, and the team's defense ranked second in the league after finishing 31st in 2001. From 1999-2001, he was the linebackers coach for the Baltimore Ravens, helping the team win Super Bowl XXXV. Del Rio previously coached in New Orleans (1997-98). He previously spent 11 years as an NFL linebacker. In 1985, he was a third-round choice of the New Orleans Saints and was named to the NFL's All-Rookie team. Del Rio also played for the Kansas City Chiefs (1987-88), Dallas Cowboys (1989-1991), and Minnesota Vikings (1992-95). He played in the Pro Bowl following the 1994 season. Background: Four-year starter at linebacker from 1981-84 at Southern California, where he earned consensus All-America honors as a senior and was runner-up for the Lombardi Award. He was co-MVP of the 1985 Rose Bowl. Drafted by baseball's Toronto Blue Jays in 1981, Del Rio batted .340 while playing catcher on USC's baseball team. He has a political science degree from Kansas. Personal: Born April 4, 1963 in Castro Valley, Calif. Jack and his wife, Linda, live in Jacksonville, and have three daughters, Lauren, Hope, and Aubrey, and a son, Luke.
I too would agree with JDR. But didn't he already turn down LSU before Les was hired? If not , RR would be a good fit at LSU, if he keeps JC of course!
I have always wondered what the Jon Gruden Jack Del Rio love affair with some LSU fans was all about. Patterson would be my first choice. Petersen from Boise would be my 2nd. If that falls through........Promote Frank Wilson, fuggit, we can't lose that dude, and we need to keep alot of the staff in tact. Brick, Frank, Chavis, Cooper, Robinson, Ensminger, and Moffit need to stay put. Who can come in, and keep most of the staff intact? What about Ensminger as a promotion? I mean what are the chances that we can get a stud this late in the game? BTW this is all speculation on my part at this point, but the longer it goes unanswered, the more of a chance Miles is leaving....
Uh count me out on that. RichRod and or Jack Del Rio would not even be close for me. I dont like either of them at LSU. I would not be surprised if UM doesn't take a swing at Peterson at Boise State.
Of course I can't say JDR would take the job but timing might be right for him. I am not sure but I think his wife has ties to Louisiana and of course Jack played for the Saints.
