Rewatched the Florida game, LSU is essentially playing with 9 1/2 players on defense

i think someone on the team is better, i dont think Louis is the guy, but Beckwith yes, he would be better imo.
just like White and Robinson are better than Collins and Mills.
    thompson is better than martin.
    anybody is better than Loston

Eugene isn't that bad when he is allowed to blitz.

So why are the coaches playing him at OLB? Not ready to make the reads yet?

I'm thinking this is totally why Welter is playing more. You are at the games, Red. Is he this year's "quarterback" of the defense?

Cue Red and LSUDad to the rescue of a player or coach.

Beckwith should have been given the starting MLB spot from jump and given all the opportunity to learn on the job in the first 5 games.

You saw how special this kid is going to be on one of the few plays he was in on against Florida. Another in a long line of disruptive defensive players at LSU.

As someone said, Welter is the most timid player I have ever seen. He only get aggressive when the tackle is being made and then he wants to pile on.

I have to fully agree with you here. I think Beckwith has looked very impressive at both MLB or DE. He should be on the field much more. Welter, Loston, and Barrow(Barrow finally played very well against UF so hopefully thats a start) havent impressed at all. Id take my growing pains with Beckwith, Thompson, and Louis getting more PT.

he wouldnt be so bad if he didnt just pile on at the end, that makes him look worse than what he is.
