It has to be a win that makes Kirk Herbstreit, who will be broadcasting that game on ABC, tell the voters on national TV that they have a very tough decision to make out of Oklahoma State and Alabama, as far as to who to put #2 on their ballot.

If he makes that statement, Oklahoma State is going to play LSU for the national championship.

    I'll leave it at that.

I expect him to say it if OSU wins in any way other than OT. ESPN has never shied away from a sports controversy, espeecially one they don't need to contrive.

At any rate, a lot of articles came out yesterday about putting Bama in the big game. This week, we'll see a lot of articles chipping away at that assertion. OSU will be primed to make their move provided they win their game. And it would help to do so convincingly. The ball is in their hands, no pun intended. Can they get it done?

Bama fan can walk around as confident as he wants all day long, but he is at the mercy of Bedlam and the voters. Don't think Bama fan won't be watching on Saturday night. And if Bama gets passed over, bama fan will become unglued. Meanwhile the rest of the country will shrug. I am already getting emails from outside of the South saying that they would not be happy with an intradivisional BCSNCG. They contend that the best way to reduce whine nationally is to pair a conference champ against LSU, assuming LSU wins the SEC and a there is a suitable conference champ. Just sayin'...I am feeling the sentiment nationally starting to shift in a "wait, WTF" sort of way.

Agreed, they would rather impressively win the Sugar Bowl, than get beaten by us again in the NC game. Other schools are already mocking them for wanting a rematch (did you guys see the College Gameday posters at Auburn? lol)

Tigerfan90 is correct. Last week Bama was playing and it was time to hype them and their game. This week, with Bama off, it is time to hype the Bedlam game. There will definitely be talk of this game having "national title implications". They want viewers, and will hype this game for all it is worth. That includes suggesting that OSU still has a legit shot at making the BCS title game. So much of this stuff is scripted and not really the opinion of the T.V. personality. For instance, hopefully no one really believes every team picked to win by the cast of characters on a pregame show is actually their personal picks. They need debate and differing viewpoints to make the show interesting and occasionally someone gives that opposing argument even though they don't really agree with it. In this case, it is so obvious it is pitiful. Will they get more or less ratings and ultimately MONEY if OSU is playing this game for a shot at the title? Always, always, follow the money.

If that is indeed the case, then the Coaches and Harris Polls will follow its lead.

Okie State will be in the NCG.

You can bet that the coaches from other conferences are not interested in guaranteeing another SEC National Champion. If there is as much as a hairline crack that can put Okie State in the Dance, it will happen.

It won't be difficult for me to cheer for Okie State this Saturday. When I picture the Sooners, I still see Barry Switzer in my head. Down with Oklahoma!
