Let's put it in perspective. I think he is a great talent, as shown by my comments in this thread prior to the game. With that said, it was his 3 start, next week he could fumble 2 times. It was one game. He did look special though... hard not to get excited. IMHO he has the most upside of any WR in the country. You just can't teach the skills he has. It was only one game yet it was more than that because now you know he as some serious upside to his game. I am glad he was finally able to show LSU fans what he can do. Randle's time will come, he will need to get playing time this year. People want to rush these freshman on the field and I don't understand why.
I know we have discussed this ad nauseum...so let's continue. - I agree...and always did agree that TT had upside, potential, whatever. He has all the physical tools, no doubt. But although he made some incredible athletic plays last night, he still ran a couple of wrong routes. Hopefully, he gets that fixed quick and has an All SEC season. I think we can all agree he is special, but not without flaw.
I mostly agree there. One game does not make a season or a career. His 3rd start and he looked good, nothing more and nothing less. Next week is another game.
With that superb camera work last night, I have no clue how you could tell he ran a couple of wrong routes, FH.
Agree. Simple. Watch when he goes back to the huddle...or back to the sideline. They are correcting him...explaining it to him...and he's shaking his head to indicate he understands. You're right though...I was upset enough about our play, but I will likely send an email to ESPN. That's right...I'M SENDING THEM AN EMAIL!!!
I didn't see that all last night. Never saw it in the past either but that doesn't mean it didn't happen either... I just haven't seen it. Maybe the coaches were telling him how easy he made those plays look? Just joking, it's only one game, I am sure he makes mistakes as well and will continue to do so. We'll see... I like our WRs. Agree with you on ESPN, terrible coverage.
I assumed that the cameras were shaking with the crowd. Seemed the worse shots were from the top of the Stadium, and only when the crowd was really going. When they switched to the Cameras on the field, it was pretty stable. And boy, I was impressed with their crowd.
