Twelve more days till the Washington game...after that we can all talk about what these guys have actually done instead of what we think they're gonna do. Personally, I can't wait !! :hihi:.
Amen! Let's put this to bed. LaFell - #1 with an exclamation point. Toliver - #2 until PROVEN otherwise. Randle - #3 until Toliver gives up the #2. Certainly possible, but I doubt it. And honestly, what's it matter? LSU uses a LOT of three-wide sets, so they will all get their opportunities to help LSU! win! :geaux:
This is true! Plenty of opportunity for all three and a few others as well...if it were strictly a big play offense I'd be worried for all the receivers, but Crowton likes to spread it around and march down field. Wear out their defense and keep ours fresh. And honestly, I'm matured passed the fun of the aerial assault. It's still fun to watch, but give me a good 3-4 deep RB/FB combination and I'm running the footbally probably 60% of the time anyway! Unless they're breaking long runs, 40-50 carries amongst the rotation would be a minimum for me. Wear out that front seven and the secondary will crumble with ease. If the secondary has to spend too much time tackling Charles Scott (getting kneed in the chest while trying to tackle low and stiff armed for coming high), they won't be up for covering anyone on the WR depth chart... This is just a very opinionated debate, that's all. I'm sure we all want both guys to do well. And it's not like RR hasn't been in this spot before as a freshman. He played behind DLo (we all know who he is) and Tommy White (Southern Miss) his freshman year of high school...and it was widely believed he was naturally better than Tommy at the time, but Tommy was a senior and very game ready. It was a good problem for Bastrop to have as well... I don't feel sorry for these guys at all. I feel sorry for the defenses we will face. Wait, no I don't...:geauxtige
It doesn't make sense because that is not what I said or meant. You keep throwing this strawman argument crap up. Here I will do it to you. You said, "Toliver is the man". Ok, I agree.
Dude...really...just drop it. You beat yourself in this "strawman argument"...so in a round about way, you win.
Exactly, I wrote it and you can't comprehend, that is not my problem. You asked me based on what, you got the answer, now you don't like the answer so you start a strawman argument that said I think the player with the least amount of playing time is the best because of that. How you get from 1st to 3rd I have no idea... do you know how to read. Not once did I say the player with least amount of playing time is the best, only a moron could get to that from what I wrote. Same as below, I would be a moron if I thought you meant that. You didn't, I can read, I can read in context of the paragraph and in the context of the question. Most learn this before the 4th grade. Based on what I saw from the limited playing Toliver has the best tools by far of the current WRs, how someone can get what you did out of what I wrote is a complete mystery. "Toliver is the man". Or do you really think Toliver is the man? According to your reading skills you must. How one can say I think the player with the least amount of playing time is the best from what I wrote, I have no idea. Sorry you are big baby and don't like that I think LaFell drops balls all the time. Get over it. Maybe you don't have a strawman argument, the alternative is you are dumb. Take your pick.
You started this with saying, "YOU based you argument FOR TT on the fact that he hasn't seen the field much." Yet you can't explain the magical jump in logic and you won't drop it. Big baby.
You realize that Lafell put up better stats than Julio Jones (he's a freak haha) last year, right? He was automatic for us. Care to give any examples of inconsistency from last season (the only one that matters at this point in time)? He may have dropped a ball once or twice.. but to act like it's been a problem is silly. TT on the other hand is an all-world talent but couldn't seem to run the correct routes half the time. Lafell is an NFL receiver.. the separation he gets is unreal. It's why he's the clear-cut #1 receiver on our team and he has an excellent shot of being a #1 WR on an NFL team as well.
