I guess alot of people expected it, but it is tough for a freshman coming into LSU and earning a starting slot at receiver. But this guy is the one hyped by everyone to be the next big college receiver. Even Lafell says he's ready. I can't wait to watch this guy play.

If this has been posted previously, my apologies:

Lafell and Toliver are the X and Y

    Randle might be the Z.

I am not sold on that yet, but he has had a blazin' camp.

I always thought the Y was the TE and the X and Z were the outside guys (X as the split end and the Z as the flanker)

That terminology always confuses me though so I'm probably wrong.

Yeah, I kind of figured haha..I played football and I still always found myself more comfortable calling them by name (split end, Flanker, slotback) than XYZ or whatever because it just got confusing =P

anyway I'm off-topic..I'll bring it back now and say I could see Randle being the 3rd guy this year, especially with Tim Molton getting hurt. We're thin on experience at WR after the top 2.

Golic and Greenie with a good explanation. Basically, X is the weak side, Y is the TE/slot receiver, Z is the flanker for sets with 2 backs. With 2 TE and 4-5 receiver sets, forget it.

Don't count Chris Mitchell out of the mix. I've read some quotes from Miles where he has had good things to say about him. You could tell last year that Mitchell had moved his game forward. Plus, he has experience on his side. I'm sure as in past years more than three recievers will see playing time.

    Unbelievable talent.

    He had a "blazin' camp."

    You're not sold.

    WTF?

I hope he's the real deal. I know this is stupid but I'm tired of every other major program having their all world freshman come in with serious impact. We've had some all world freshmen but very few have had major impact. I'm talking Terrelle Pryor, Julio Jones type of impact.
