Retired NBA star Hardaway says he hates 'gay people'

Has anyone heard these comments yet this morning? When are these guys going to learn not to put their foot in their mouth like this on a national medium?

 

I don't see what's so wrong with what he said?

He just said he didn't like queers. There are lots of people I don't like, but because this scrub is a homo everyone is required to like him.

In the end the ONLY reason this is a story is because this fag wrote a book that is being published by ESPN. ESPN is just pimping this fairy and his story for a buck.

Got to give props to Hardaway for at least being honest. Its a breath of fresh air compared to the fake politically correct crap we get day in and day out. I dont like gay people either. So there! :hihi:

 

I was gonna give him props, but then he apologized. What is it about people and apologizing for what they believe. Candy Azz's.

 

I agree with mostly all points being made. It's not like apologizing will set Timmy free. I am sure he will still go to bed tonight feeling the same way he felt when he made those comments. All he really had to say was that he should have chosen a different venue for expressing his opinions, and probably could have stated it a different way as well.

 

The NBA officially has disavowed any association with Tim Hardaway by banning him from making official appearances on the NBA's behalf. Those comments affect the money going into his wallet. That's why he apologized. Of course, he probably isn't sorry for saying that statement. He has to give the appearance to make promotional appearances, etc. that ex-jocks use to make money in retirement.

 

I don't think the outrage is about what he said, but more about the way he said it. If he had said hat he feels uncomfortable around homo gays or that he does not condone the lifestyle then I don't think he'd be getting slammed the way he is. Tolerance and acceptance are two different things. No one has to or should accept the homo lifestyle, we should all tolerate it.

I don't understand why people apologize for this stuff either. You know it isn't sincere.
