Vitter will be the SENIOR senator from Louisiana after the next elections. Mary L. will not be reelected again. This state is becoming very red. I voted for her before but not again. Many, many voters will see things the same way.
Red, you are in denial. The voters for this seat, which had been held by a Democrat for 90 years, gave Obama a resounding PHUCK YOU!! What's your excuse for a Nevada districct that was 50/50 on Obama McCain going 70/30 for the Republican. Smell the coffee, Yosemite Sam. Your BOY is toast.
How do you explain the republican seats that have gone to democrats, then? No one wants to answer that question. Want to make a small wager on that, Porky?
Seems to me every chance the American people have had since "hope and change transformed" into "same old same old" they have loudly rejected the Democratic platform. Scott Brown took Teddy K's seat. The mid-terms were a massive Republican win in general and a huge Tea Party win in particular.
Easy. There are districts that will vote a particular party regardless of circumstances. Before Obama, you would have thought Weiner's district was one of them. This vote was anti Obama. You cannot spin it any other way. As far as your wager. A case of your or my favorite beer will be a nice bet. If Obama wins, I'll ship yours out just before I kill myself.
If Obama wins, I'll send a government employee in a government truck to pick it up on government time.
Which ones are you referring to? Are you discussing positions which changed hands in the last year or are you going back to the "hope & change" movement which has obviously failed? Governers: 29 (Republican), 20 (Democrat), 1 (Independent) Senators: 51 (Democrat), 47 (Republican), 2 (Independent) House: 242 (Republican), 192 (Democrat) Most of the states legislatures are Republican controlled and the Republicans controlled state governments are almost 2:1 over the Democrats.
