SIMON ARREST: Tharold Simon's agent plans civil suit. "I'm appalled at their (police) behavior," Peter Schaffer said. "He did nothing wrong"

SIMON ARREST: His agent said he has gotten statements from "almost 30" witnesses who will say "that he did absolutely nothing wrong,"

Maybe not but his words are very telling of his mindset and I'd label it as a liability. Not that it's an uncommon one of a young man his age and receiving what he's about to; however, there are prospects out there who are also ARE mature and handle the fame with humility.

This is meaningless. His agent has to go crazy for one day to protect Simon's draft status. His agent will literally say anything today about this. If he thinks someone will believe his side of the story for one day, that's all that matters. I suspect when it all comes down to it, he will cut a deal. I just find it hard to believe a cop in a small town like Eunice, just made this up.

That whooshing sound you hear is his draft position hurling downward at breakneck speed. If he could have just stayed in his shoes for ONE MORE DAY he wouldn't have just lost hundreds of thousands of dollars. Anyone want to predict what round he goes in now? I say 6th.

I know some Eunice cops. I have a feeling this is pretty trumped up. Cop was probably a dickbag and got pissed when Simon mouthed off to him. I seriously doube Simon did anything criminal.

Have you ever met a cop from Eunice? I find it exactly believable.

The problem is that he doesn't have weeks or months for the truth to come out, whatever it may be. The officer was probably a jerk and he probably responded by mouthing off and being disrespectful in return. The correct response when waiting to be drafted would have been to quietly get in is car and leave without a word other than "Yes, sir." You know, "He who laughs last..."

If I were a GM I'd pass on him simply because his decision making skills are obviously suspect if he intends to buy the projects in Eunice.

Oh I'm sure the cop was on a power trip etc., but I don't believe when his agent says, "he did absolutely nothing wrong." He probably did nothing criminal but was probably a total dickbag to the cop and that in itself will turn teams off.
