Let me add this...

There's one person on this forum that has proven he has a "source" about what's going on with the Saban's; Cajun Sensation. I'm still a bit surprised he knew about the car deal.

The one thing I find ironic in all of this is one of the guys I trust, when it comes to what's happening in the Saban household, is a guy I met when CNS was coaching at LSU. He, along with those that you refer to as being "at the top of the Bama food chain," respect Sexton for what he does. He's good at his job.

I can't make a comment on the frustration Skip may have felt. I can comment on how the current, and former, athletic director feel about Saban. Battle, as the former owner of CLC, understands a market driven economy. I suspect you do as well.

As to his "signing," if you don't think it was timed to coincide with the Texas football banquet? It was a calculated move I was told about Weds. of last week. (My fandom did enjoy the fact it happened like it did with so many at that banquet focused on their smartphones when it was announced.)

I find myself questioning why there's a need felt for explanation...but, I'll repeat myself, again.

While you may not fall in this category, there were a lot here that hung their hopes on Saban leaving as one last "I told you so." Despite the effort to point to this story being dead in the late winter/early spring of this year, the concerted efforts trying to substantiate this story as having legs...well, they are walking on stumps.

BTW, the biggest farce I've seen in this whole story is how the Texas program is built up.

Sure we understand a market driven economy but that doesn't mean you/they won't get tired of it happening every year. Again, they'll do everything they can to keep him but that doesn't mean they don't wish he would stop the antics. It wears on you when it happens over and over again.

As for the timing, that's pretty harsh.

Harsh? I can't disagree with that. On the cusp of a big recruiting weekend? The timing was advantageous.

I made no bones about it here...if I recall correctly the only thing I mentioned about what I wanted out of this season was for Bama to get a shot at Ohio State. As cited, the odds of three in a row?

It's my thought it has to do with a pissed off wife.

Want to talk about focus? As bad as this is she was thinking more about the draft prospects for the 10 guys in their house this weekend than their grandchild.

Anything that I've ever posted from a source has been 100% accurate....yet every time I share the info there are usually about 1 or 2 people who call bullshit.

I wouldn't embarrass or discredit myself by posting bullshit.
