I keep reading that, but it seems some pretty good DBs have shown up at LSU recently.

Yes, looks more like a recruiting hire than an X's and O's hire. I like Raymond and hope he can also coach. It's always good to see an LSU guy get a shot at coaching here.

Did anybody watch any of Nebraska's games last year? I watched one and I've forgotten who they were playing but Nebraska was playing a 4-7 defense I guess you would call it. 4 defensive linemen and 7 defensive backs. Wish I had payed more attention

He actually turned Miles down twice.

Wow, he really sounds excited to be a Tiger again.

I sure hope he's talking about the LSU family and not just relatives.

Corey is a very well grounded person that players love.. Corey also played high school football with Verge Ausberry. Of all the players I played with, Corey left the most impression on me. We graduated in 87 and I followed his career at LSU and into the NFL best i could.. Its great to see him coming back to LSU...

Seems to be a good hire and I think I understand him not wanting to leave Pelini and Nebraska. Hopefully, he can coach'em up and make head way in recruiting.

    Nevertheless, welcome back!

I like the hire ... a good, up-and-coming coach with an emphasis on fundamentals. IMO, he'll do well in the SEC.

but the only DB on our 2-deep in the Cooper era (2009-2011) that was recruited by Cooper was Eric Reid.

Chad Jones, Craig Loston, and Danny McCray were recruited by Larry Porter. Patrick Peterson was recruited by Earl Lane. Morris Claiborne and Karnell Hatcher were recruited by D.J. McCarthy. Tyrann Mathieu was recruited by Frank Wilson. Brandon Taylor and Jai Eugene were recruited by Josh Henson. Tharold Simon was recruited by Brick Haley. Derrick Bryant was recruited by Peveto. Not sure about Ron Brooks (2007 recruiting class) and Chris Hawkins (2005 recruiting class), but it wasn't Cooper because he wasn't at LSU then
