He don't have to play LSU, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia...etc so it will be less stressful. But the need to win NOW is the same as with the spoiled Gators. Somebody add him to the celebrity death thread in 2 years.
Soon as isltl gets up he'll have a thread like this in the Den...

It's funny because we said the exact same thing when he was hired at UF. "Oh, the spread option will never work against the speed of SEC defenses! Meyer will be average." Well, we see how that turned out. That said, over the past couple of seasons, more and more DCs are figuring out how to stop the spread option. Not only that, he needed total freakazoids (Tebow & Harvin) to reach that level of success at UF. I don't think he'll be able to get the same stable of horses at that sh!thole in Columbus. In addition to not having immediate access to the hotbed of talent in the southeast, he has some very, very serious intergrity issues to face as a recruiter. Seriously, how will anyone be able to trust that little weasel? Even the very school he'll be coaching for won't have any idea if he'll be there the next season or if he'll just puss out again once things start to go wrong. Eff Meyer. While I will enjoy the inevitable meltdown in Gainesville if he does take the job, that doesn't make him any less of a cowardly bastard. It's really the perfect storm because UF gets screwed and Meyer removes any doubt about his perceived lack of integrity.

Yea but I don't think we could predict that Tim Tebow would be the greatest college football player of all time. In my opinion, without Tebow, Meyer is average.

And a Percy Harvin ain't bad either. Have no idea why Meyers is trying this so soon. The man coached Florida last season, like he had a serious health concern. What price glory?

@LaSalle- Is it your opinion that Tebow is the "greatest NCAA player of all time"?

I think Meyer will wait until the season ends to sign since he keeps saying he won't talk to a school who has a coach under contract even if OSU's is not signed after this year. I don't believe for a second that he has yet to talk to OSU, and I do think he will be coaching there next year. I also think he will win because I don't really think that conference has more then 3 or 4 teams that are more then average.

His agent confirmed it this morning. They were just waiting for the regular season to end before making the announcement. Was it on TF that I heard a rumor about Coach Stud going with him?
