if the Chiefs get Russell, that will put him right back with Dwayne Bowe... the two of them were #1 in LSU history and #10 in SEC history in the number of TD passes they connected for in 2006

It does finally appear he is taking this seriously.

Good for him, if that's the case. I wish him success if he puts in the time and effort required.

Smart move IMO. Instead of having one shot to convince teams he can play or not. He will get multiple shots. Teams thinking of bringing him in for a workout wont have a pro day to look back on to change their minds.

He'll get a shot. He's got too good of an arm to not be given a second shot. I mean, look at a guy like Ryan Leaf. He played for 3 different teams and was not only a major distraction in the locker room but never performed at all. He was way worse than Jamarcus.

watched a good piece on ESPN about him recently that centered on the series of events that led to him being dropped from the Raiders and his ensuing journey back. I'm rooting for the guy....I enjoy a good come back story so we'll see how it goes for him.

I said this before, there are no less than 10 teams that need QB help. He will get his shot, I'm pulling for him. He has taken a major step so far.
