If all that's accurate Oeaux is now free to do it his way with the people he wants. It's only right that he should have that freedom since it's his butt on the line and he will live or die with the results. If it's true that Alleva pressured him into hiring a man he didn't know once the Kiffin option was closed then the picture of the whole Canada debacle becomes a little bit clearer. I am cautiously optimistic about what results the Over the Hill Gang might achieve but you gotta give at least grudging respect to Oeaux for seizing the reins of his own fate. Given the difficulty of the 2018 schedule matching or exceeding this year's results might be a miracle but he is finally fighting with his own bullets.
At this point it doesn’t matter what any of us think. Orgeron sold everyone a bunch of words like a politician and changed his tune once he got to Washington. He is gonna do it his way, with his influence all over everything along with the rest of the coon ass mafia he has on staff. Dave Aranda is like a contracted outsider, it must be pretty interesting for a guy like him. But it’s either gonna work or not. Orgeron has either made himself a hero or hung himself.
